Gold in the 200 Free on day 1 at Charlotte Ultraswim

Since I have the morning off today I figured I would keep you updated on the meet like I said. First race of the meet is done and I am very pleased with taking home a win in the 200 Free with a time of 1:47.32. It was a great race from start to finish racing Michael Phelps. That time is the fastest I have ever been in season and would say it is right off my PB without a rubber suit. I nailed almost everything I wanted, but already looking at ways to improve on that race. It was a great race and time for this part of the season. With this being one of the last times to race the 200 before Olympic trials, I am going in very confident with the way I am swimming. I was very happy with winning the finals, but it is still just a step in the road before the Olympic trials in June.

Courtesy of Spiracle Media, here is some of my post race interview with my thoughts on the race.

I get Saturday off and will be looking forward to a fast 100 on Sunday. Thanks for all the fans and support from everyone at the meet already! It is an incredible meet to be able to come to because the fans make this one so much fun.
